Cerena Privacy Notice

Who we are

Cerena is made by Cerena Vision Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17306387), 275 New North Road, London, N1 7AA. When we say "we" or "Cerena" we mean Cerena Vision Ltd. You can reach us at support@cerena.uk.

What Cerena does

You tell us about your wedding — who you are, where and when, your colours, your traditions — and we design a visual vision of it: spaces, details, a story, and documents you can download. To do that we have to hold what you tell us. This notice explains what we hold, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• What you type. Your first names, email address, wedding location and season, guest scale, colours, and everything you write to Valentina in conversation.
• Your faith and heritage. If you tell us your religion, cultural tradition or heritage, we use it to research and design your vision. This is special-category data under UK data protection law, and we only use it because you've explicitly agreed to it at the consent step. See "Faith and heritage" below.
• What we make for you. The images, text and documents Cerena generates from what you told us.
• Payment. If you buy your complete Vision, Stripe handles your card. We never see your card number. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded and the last four digits of your card for our records.
• Technical. The usual: the pages you visit on Cerena, your browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and cookies that keep you signed in.

Analytics and advertising

At launch we plan to use cookieless website analytics (to understand which pages and markets work) and, where you've given consent, advertising cookies from the platforms we run ads on (to understand which ad brought which couple to Cerena). Advertising cookies never fire without your consent, given through the cookie banner. See "Cookies" below.

Faith and heritage

Your faith and heritage details are the heart of what makes your vision yours — a Sikh wedding and a Maronite wedding are not the same day, and a vision that doesn't know the difference isn't worth having. We ask for these details only to research and design your vision, and we use them for nothing else. We don't use them for advertising, profiling, or anything outside your own wedding.

You give consent for this at the intake step. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to support@cerena.uk; we'll delete those details and anything we made from them. Withdrawing consent means we can't keep or complete your vision, because it's built on them.

Who else sees your information

• OpenAI generates the images and text in your vision from the details you gave us. OpenAI may keep a copy of what we send them for up to 30 days, for abuse monitoring and safety, then deletes it. They don't use it to train their models. We rely on this brief retention window ourselves — if a request to OpenAI is interrupted, we recover the finished answer from their store rather than sending your details again.
• Stripe processes your payment.
• Neon stores your account and wedding-vision data; Supabase handles sign-in and stores your generated images.
• Resend sends the emails that bring you back to your vision.
• Replit hosts and runs the Cerena application itself.

Each of these handles your data under a contract with us and only for the purpose above. We don't sell your information and we don't share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

We keep your vision and the details behind it for twelve months after your wedding date, or for as long as you hold an active Cerena subscription, whichever is longer. Payment records are kept for 6 years as UK tax law requires. If you ask us to delete your vision, we do so within 30 days, except the payment record.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to support@cerena.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Improving Cerena

We may look at anonymised, aggregated patterns across visions — never a single couple's details on their own, never for marketing — to make the product better. You can't be identified from this.

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in. We also use cookieless website analytics that don't identify you individually and don't need your consent. If we run advertising on platforms such as Meta, TikTok or Google, those platforms' cookies only fire after you've given consent through our cookie banner — never before, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

Children

Cerena is for adults planning a wedding. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this notice, we'll put the date at the top and, if the change matters, email you.
